ABOUT

I'm Lindsey, a Toronto-based freelance writer and editor with many beats in arts and culture, architecture and design, food and beverage, and ghostwritten memoir.  You could call me a generalist, but people-person or life-lover would also fit. I've written for Maclean's, Toronto Life, Canadian Business, Intermission, Canada's 100 Best, the Creative Independent, and the Literary Press Group of Canada among others.

Before making the leap to full-time freelance writing I worked in editorial at Penguin Random House Canada with whip-smart mentors that I'm proud to be associated with.

In 2020, I switched course from my work as a sommelier and completed the Publishing certificate at Toronto Metropolitan University, where I was nominated for the Robert Weaver Award for Editorial Excellence. I've also pursued additional professional development in Creative Writing at the University of Toronto and Arts Criticism and Cultural Theory at OCAD.
